Okay, let's break these down a bit shall we?
The asymmetrical, or any skirt with a high slit is the perfect piece to wear now bare legged with sandals or even a pair a ankle boots. Once the weather cools off throw on some tights or pair with a knee high boot to stay warm.
Next, the shearling vest. This piece is not only extremely chic but easy to throw on over a tee shirt, or lightweight long sleeve top with your denim shorts for a fun transitional look. Of course layer over sweaters as we head into winter and keep warm while looking fabulous.
The leather shorts are probably my favorite piece in this collection. Super sexy and tough. Great now with a light chiffon top, sweaters as it gets colder and tights when it's down right frigid. Get even more versatility by switching up your shoe options. Keep it casual with an ankle boot, dress them up with a pump or keep them cozy with a tall boot. The options are seemingly endless!
Ah...the denim jacket with contrasting leather sleeves. Last season we started to see hints of this trend, including sweatshirts with leather sleeves. This season it has literally blown up with tons of different jackets and even tops with a contrasting sleeve. I love the idea of the denim jacket because it gives you even more ways to wear it. Throw it over your floral day dress, wear it with leggings and a tunic, or even with that high slit maxi and ankle boot combination I talked about earlier! A surefire staple and easy way to finish off so many different looks.
Ankle boots, while super chic also come with some rules to them. Not all styles are created equal on all body types. If you're like me and have an hourglass figure avoid boots that come up past your ankle and are fitted. This will just accentuate your skinny ankle, and make your hips and thighs look larger. Instead, opt for something that comes below the ankle bone or with a larger circumference so they are not hugging your ankle. Once you find the right ones for your shape though, get ready to pair them with everything! Rock them now with your shorts and dresses sans tights, add tights later on, and tuck your jeans into them when temperatures drop.
Last, but certainly not least is the coated skinny jean. I chose this dark wine color because it will look great now with lighter color tops now, and super sexy later on with our favorite fall colors of black charcoal and chocolate brown. Easily dressed up or down they are a perfect piece to have in your wardrobe no matter the season or the weather.
