I love the combination of black white and yellow - and there is even room for a pop of turquoise here and there. Back in NY I lived in a studio apartment, so I was leaning toward a more serene feeling since I had to sleep in there too...lucky me I now have a separate bedroom so the living area can handle more drama!
Here are some pieces that I've picked out to complete the room. (Now all I need is a job so I can afford to buy them!)
Stow Onyx Leather Storage Ottoman, $149
Linea Jade megan stick table lamp, 4.50 GBP
PLASTICLAND - Black Baroque Oval Picture Frame, $24
Milliken Black and White Rug - Rugsusa.com
Teardrop Glass Accent End Table | Great Furniture Deal
Burlesque Bar - The epicentre of Melbourne burlesque
Kristyna Bonded Leather Stationary Sofa with Button Tufting by Coaster
I already own those exact end tables, and I have ottomans very similar to those featured. I also already have a white couch, although it isn't as pretty as the one above, and desperately needs a slipcover, but it'll do for now. Currently I have a zebra animal skin rug - and I love it - but I really want to put it in my bedroom - I thought this chevron rug would be fabulous too and have an even larger impact, print wise.
I also look forward to finding some inexpensive ornate frames (new or old) that I will paint black and give a glossy finish. As mentioned I will also add some pops of turquoise in items like the lamp pictured and probably a pillow or two as well.
So...what colors are featured in your home?
