Wear This Trend: The Maxi Dress in Winter

Burberry Scarf, Joyce Leslie Sweater, Curtsey Maxi Dress

A few months ago I posted about transitioning your maxi dress into fall and winter, but I haven't done it myself until now. I skipped the knee high boots that I mentioned in that post, somehow 30 degrees felt warm, so I figured I could stand to expose my feet and ankles for a bit.  I went with this cowl neck sweater to show a little extra skin on top, and add length.  Next I added the belt just to break it all up, and define my waist.

I love this look overall because it has a bit of a Rick Owens vibe to it, which is never a bad thing in my opinion!
