While shopping yesterday with Mom, I came across these beautiful Masquerade Masks.  Fat Tuesday is over a month away, but I just couldn't wait to share them with you.  I am kicking myself for not taking my own pictures of them, so you could really see the detail.  Of course I instantly wanted one, and although I have no masquerade parties planned in the near future I thought they would make a beautiful art piece.

I refrained from purchasing one, and since I've been feeling crafty lately, I am toying around with the idea of making my own.  All of the ones I saw were absolutely gorgeous, but none of them were exactly right.  I would like to take different elements from each of them and create perfect one.  There is no better way to get exactly what you want than to do it yourself!

I'm not usually a do it yourself-er, so we'll see what happens - but I do like having aspirations :)
